Oktoberfest is coming!

September means the weather will be cooling down soon, but there are still some great ways to enjoy the city in and outdoors. Here are some events happening this month:

Music in the Park @ Barbra Hall Park

Wednesday to Friday 12pm to 2pm, and Saturday and Sunday 7pm to 9pm

This free concert series will end October 1st, so check it out while there is still time!

Lunchtime Live @ Dundas Square

Every Monday until October 2nd

From 12:30 to 1:30pm you can enjoy a free live music concert. Check the link above to see which artists will be playing. Free!

Toronto Ukranian Festival @ Bloor West Village (Jane station)

September 15th to 17th

Ukrainian heritage and culture are on display this weekend at this annual festival. Come learn what the Ukraine is really all about!

Mexican Independence Day Celebrations @ Dundas Square

September 16th

From 11am to 10pm, there will be a free to attend event celebrating Mexican independence and culture near Dundas Station. Viva Mexico!

Canada's most convenient carnival @ Dundas Square

September 17th

From 10am to 5pm Circle K convenience stores will be putting on a small carnival that is free to enjoy. Come by early to get some free hot dogs!

True Stories Told Live @ The Garrison

September 19th, 7:30pm to 10pm

Stay a while, and listen to Toronto's best story tellers at this unique and free event. Doors open at 6:45pm.

Just for Laughs Comedy Festival

September 21st to 30th

This annual comedy event features some of the world's greatest comics. Buy tickets for one show or get a pass and see a bunch!

Escape Game @ Pioneer Village

September 22nd to 24th

Have you tried an escape game with your friends? This game set at Pioneer Village is sure to excite and mystify. Bring friends to help solve the riddle!

Invictus Games @ GTA

September 23rd to 30th

The only international adaptive sports event for injured service men and women. Cheer on Canada's wounded warriors at various locations around Toronto. 17 nations will compete in this year's event.

Gallery Day @ Various locations around the GTA

September 23rd

If you would like to visit some galleries and see some fine art and photography on September 23rd many galleries will open their doors and host talks from local artists. Free of charge. See the link above for talk locations and times.

Pedestrian Sunday @ Kensington Market

September 24th

They close off the streets to allow for pedestrians and shop keepers to move into the streets of Kensington market for the day. Come see what the spirit of Kensington looks and sounds like!

Canadian Opera Company Free Concert @ Richard Bradshaw Ampitheatre

September 26th to 28th, 12pm to 1pm (don't be late!)

If you enjoy classical music and you've got a moment to spare, come early to get a seat at this free concert series put on by the Canadian Opera Company. Seating is limited!

Guillermo del Toro Book Signing @ The AGO

September 27th, 4pm to 9pm

Promoting his new book, and new art showcase at the AGO, "At Home with Monsters" the film director and expert monster-maker will be signing autographs and meeting fans at the AGO. Keep your AGO store receipt to participate!

Toronto Oktoberfest @ Ontario Place

September 29th to 30th

If you like beer and bratwurst then you won't want to miss this annual celebration of German food and culture. Enjoy responsibly!
