6 Festivals, one day. Which will you choose?
This Friday, August 31st, will be a great day for festival lovers. There are no less than -six- different festivals happening at different venues around Toronto, each with its own theme and attractions! Let's take a look at what's happening:
11am to 6pm every day
This fine arts festival features our own great Canadian artists in various mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, and even some live music. Walk around and enjoy the sights because admission is -free-!
12pm to 11pm, until 10pm on Sunday and 8pm on Monday Street performances of all varieties from the magical to the miraculous will be happening around Woodbine Park over four days starting on Friday. If you get hungry, there will also be dozens of varieties of Macaroni and Cheese for you to try as this year's event will include the annual Mac and Cheese Festival. It's a two for one festival special you shouldn't miss! Admission can be paid in the form of a donation to Epilepsy Toronto, which the festival works to support. A worthy cause, and a good time!
7pm to 8:30 on Friday, 4pm to 8:30 Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
Celebrating Spanish and Latin-American culture, this -free- to attend event features food, music, dance, and a lot of what's special about Latin culture. Get out there and get dancing!
3pm to 11pm on Friday, 12pm to 11pm on Saturday, and 12pm to 9pm on Sunday
Are you well acquainted with Muslim culture? If not, this could be your chance. MuslimFest has grown to the largest festival of its kind in North America features art, spoken word, theater performances, and more. Over 80 local and international artists in attendance!
4pm to 11 on Friday, 11am to 11pm on Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 9pm on Monday
This four day festival is for anyone who really, truly loves their barbecue. Sample creations from dozens of different vendors and BBQ chefs. Maybe you'll learn a new taste combination to take home with you! General admission is $5.
