Yes, it's that time of year again. Halloween is just around the corner, but don't fret. Here is your list of must see events and things to do this October in Toronto:

Every evening until October 31st

See what is sure to be Canada's oldest haunted house. Explore parts of the castle never before seen by mortal eyes!

October 5th, 7pm doors open

If you like to mix your high and pop cultures, then first Thursdays at the AGO is for you. 19+ event requires ID. Bring your dancing shoes.

Every Friday night in October and November

Ever wanted to drink wine with the dinosaurs. This is as close as you can get! Live music, drinks, dancing, and dinos? 19+ event.

Every weekend in October, Fri-Sun

Toronto's most famous scary amusement park is back again for its 25th year!

Remember, don't feed the zombies...

October 6th until the 31st

Want some roller-coasters with your witches and ghouls? Canada's Wonderland Halloween experience is among the best in Canada. Starts at sundown!

October 5th - 7th, 10am - 6pm

Nothing says autumn like a pumpkin festival. Take one home to make into a Jack-O-Lantern, or check out the pumpkin pie eating contest.

October 12th - 20th

Do you like scary films? This annual film festival features the darker side of cinema for those who like to get spooked. Tickets are selling fast, so buy in advance!

October 14th, 12pm start

Unbelievably in its 8th year, Smoke's Poutinery hosts this most Canadian eating contest. Come see people eat more poutine than they ever should, and maybe try a free sample!

October 15th, 1pm - 4pm

Fun for the whole family, this candy themed Halloween event hosted by candy maker Nestle is sure to satisfy any sweet-tooth. Come early to avoid the lines!

October 19th, 7:30pm

Take a spooky walking tour of High Park and listen to stories told by local theatre actors. Learn about Victorian era funeral rituals and other secrets of the past. $33 per ticket.

October 22nd, 1pm - 7pm

Come celebrate the changing of the seasons at this FREE event. Live music, food, giveaways, and the spirit of the harvest are all here.

October 27th and 28th, doors open at 9pm

Steamwhistle brewery is known for its easy to drink beer, but did you know they also have a great halloween party with DJs? This is a +19 event, and tickets are $35.

October 27th - 30th

One of the biggest modern and contemporary art shows is coming to Toronto. Listen to artists speak, and see what is new in the world of art. Tickets are $22.

So whether you're looking for something to scare or excite you, there should be something for you this month. Don't let the cooler weather discourage you, get out and stay active!
